Tom Jacques:

Molecular Diagnostics In CNS Cancers 

Tom Jacques is Reader in Paediatric Neuropathology at UCL. He runs a research group at the UCL Institute of Child Health, focussing on brain tumours and epilepsy. At Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, he provides the only specialist paediatric neuropathology service in the country.

He is chief investigator of the CCLG national children’s tumour bank and chairs its scientific steering committee. He chairs the clinical practices group of the British Neuropathological Society. He is a trustee of the Pathological Society. He is an executive editor at the journal, Neuropathology abs Applied Neurobiology.

He has published 100 papers, 3 review articles, 4 book chapters and a textbook of surgical pathology. He received the Cavanagh prize of the British Neuropathological Society and the Sue McCarthy prize of the Medical Research Society.
