Nischalan Pillay:

Molecular Diagnostics In Mesenchymal Cancersolecular Diagnostics In Lymphoid Cancers

Nischalan is an honorary consultant histopathologist at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, Middlesex and CRUK funded clinician scientist based at University College London Cancer Institute.

Early on his pathology training, Nischalan was fascinated by the interplay between genetics and morphology, particularly in sarcomas and how this could be used for diagnosis and prognostication which led to him pursuing a PhD in the field of sarcoma genetics and completing a National Commissioning group clinical fellowship in bone pathology.

He is now pursuing a research programme exploring the role (epi)genomics has in the development of undifferentiated sarcomas.
